We owned a home in Playa Guoines for several years before moving to SIBU.  We were looking for a different kind of lifestyle.  A place to live that put nature first.  We fell in love with SIBU the minute we drove through the gate.  Beautiful, peaceful valleys of tropical vegetation and spectacular views.  There are a lot of places like that in Costa Rica but we have never encountered a place like SIBU.  We were drawn to the concept of a preserve that was being used as an animal release area where all human activity was geared to being respectful of the fact that the animals were here first.  A santuary where only a few homes are to be built and where animals and people can co-exist in a very quite and peaceful lifestyle where the sound of Howler monkeys and birds dominate.  Our decision to build in SIBU was the best real estate move we have ever made.

After a two-year search for the right piece of property, I found SIBU and knew instantly that my search was over.  I was not only impressed by the wild beauty of the land and views across an oceanfront that would never be dotted with hotels, but also by the affordable price, Steve and Vicki's reverence for wildlife, commitment to living harmoniously with nature, and the low-density development plan.
